Description

Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies that bring warmth and joy to every gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs to the creamed mixture; beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Using rounded tablespoons, drop the dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
