Description

A comforting and delicious creamy beef pasta dish that brings family together.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and brown evenly for about 7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Lower the heat, stir in the heavy cream, and gradually add reserved pasta water to achieve desired sauce consistency.
  5. Fold in the grated Parmesan until melted and combined.
  6. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan or parsley.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for better flavor and adjust seasonings to taste.
