Description

A comforting baked dish featuring layers of zucchini, marinara sauce, and gooey cheese, creating a flavorful and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium zucchini, sliced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss the sliced zucchini with olive oil, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning in a large bowl.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a casserole dish.
  4. Layer half of the zucchini slices over the sauce, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese, then a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining zucchini, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan, finishing with a layer of breadcrumbs on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
