Description

Delightful ultra thick chocolate chip cookies with crispy edges and gooey centers, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 14 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)
  • 3 cups chocolate chips (semisweet and dark recommended)
  • Optional for topping: extra chocolate chips and flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine the dry and wet mixtures, folding in the chocolate chips.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop the dough and shape it into thick balls, placing them on the baking sheets.
  8. Bake until edges turn golden brown while keeping the centers soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Experiment with different types of chocolate chips or add nuts for variation. Store cookies in an airtight container for freshness.
