A comforting and delicious cheeseburger pie that combines the iconic flavors of a classic cheeseburger into an easy-to-make dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
- Season the meat mixture with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
- Grease a 9-inch pie dish and spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, and flour in a mixing bowl until smooth. Pour the mixture evenly over the beef and cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different cheese varieties. For added texture, consider mixing in vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
