Description

A flavorful carne asada marinade combining citrus and smoky elements, perfect for transforming your meat into a delicious dish for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Olive oil (Extra virgin)
  • 1/2 cup Fresh lime juice (about 4-6 limes)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh orange juice (about 1 large orange)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 6 Garlic cloves (Minced)
  • 1 cup Fresh cilantro (Roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 medium White onion (Roughly chopped)
  • 1 Jalapeño pepper (Finely minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Mexican oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt


Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides if necessary.
  3. Pour the marinade over your chosen cut of meat, ensuring it’s thoroughly coated.
  4. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (overnight recommended).
  5. Discard the used marinade and grill the meat until desired doneness.

Notes

Use high-quality olive oil and fresh citrus for best results. Adjust jalapeño for desired spice level.
