A flavorful carne asada marinade combining citrus and smoky elements, perfect for transforming your meat into a delicious dish for gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Olive oil (Extra virgin)
- 1/2 cup Fresh lime juice (about 4-6 limes)
- 1/4 cup Fresh orange juice (about 1 large orange)
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 6 Garlic cloves (Minced)
- 1 cup Fresh cilantro (Roughly chopped)
- 1/2 medium White onion (Roughly chopped)
- 1 Jalapeño pepper (Finely minced)
- 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Mexican oregano
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides if necessary.
- Pour the marinade over your chosen cut of meat, ensuring it’s thoroughly coated.
- Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (overnight recommended).
- Discard the used marinade and grill the meat until desired doneness.
Notes
Use high-quality olive oil and fresh citrus for best results. Adjust jalapeño for desired spice level.
