Ingredients
- 4 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the brown sugar and cook until bubbly.
- Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour the Chex cereal into a large bowl and drizzle the butter mixture over it, gently folding to coat.
- Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Allow to cool completely before serving or storing.
