Description

A luxurious and creamy mac and cheese that brings back childhood memories, featuring a blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces corkscrew pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook the corkscrew pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, until it starts to bubble.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, and continue to whisk until the mixture thickens.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and add the cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the cheese sauce.
  7. Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce, mixing well to coat.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your cheesy delight!

Notes

For a crispy top, transfer to a greased baking dish, sprinkle with cheese, and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
