Deliciously flaky bacon cheddar biscuits, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped
- ¾ cup milk
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold butter and blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and crispy bacon.
- Pour in the milk, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and shape into a 1-inch thick slab.
- Cut out biscuits using a round cutter and place them on a prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and risen.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, experiment with different cheese or add fresh herbs. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
