Description

Discover how to make delicious Teriyaki Salmon Power Bowls at home with this easy recipe. Packed with flavor and nutrients, these bowls are perfect for a healthy meal!

Ingredients

  • 600g salmon fillets (21 oz)
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) fresh grated ginger
  • 3 cups (720 ml) cooked brown or sushi rice
  • 1 cup (240 ml) edamame
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cabbage
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • Optional: Sriracha-mayo drizzle, sesame seeds
  • Twist: Avocado slices or nori strips for sushi vibes

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger, then coat the salmon with this mixture.
  2. Roast the salmon for 12–15 minutes, brushing it once during cooking, until it becomes glossy and tender.
  3. Arrange the rice, edamame, cabbage, and cucumber in serving bowls.
  4. Place the salmon on top and finish with a drizzle of sriracha mayo or a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
  5. For a sushi-inspired touch, add avocado slices or nori strips as a garnish.

Notes

  • Marinate the salmon in a mixture of soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger for 30 minutes before roasting for enhanced flavor.
  • Opt for sushi rice to achieve a stickier and more authentic texture in your bowl.
  • Customize your bowl with veggies like carrots, radishes, or avocado to add freshness and crunch. Try different toppings like pickled ginger, wasabi peas, or a splash of rice vinegar for a unique twist.
