Ingredients
- 25 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s honey
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon (10 ml) s chopped fresh ginger root
- 2 teaspoon (10 ml) s chopped garlic
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – cut into 1/2 inch strips
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
Instructions
- Start by assembling all the necessary components.
- In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, hot sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic by whisking them together; set this mixture aside.
- Sprinkle the chicken strips lightly with salt and pepper.
- Warm the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the chicken, cooking and stirring until it turns brown, roughly 1 minute on each side.
- Pour the prepared mixture over the chicken and allow it to simmer without a lid until the sauce becomes thicker, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
