Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Combine sliced strawberries and brown sugar in a small bowl. Pour melted butter into the prepared pan and spread the strawberry mixture evenly over it.
- Mix together flour, granulated sugar, milk, vegetable oil, eggs, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt in a large bowl until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the strawberries in the pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
