Description

A delightful dessert that combines a salty pretzel crust, creamy filling, and fresh strawberries for a perfect summer treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugary sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool completely.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread this mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in fresh strawberries and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  6. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Consider chilling the dish overnight to improve flavor absorption.
