Description

A delightful and light dessert made with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons gelatin (optional, for extra firmness)
  • 2 tablespoons cold water (if using gelatin)

Instructions

  1. Puree the strawberries with the granulated sugar in a blender until smooth.
  2. If using gelatin, dissolve it in cold water and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, heat it gently until dissolved and mix it into the strawberry puree.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the strawberry puree into the whipped cream using a spatula until well combined.
  5. Spoon the mixture into serving dishes and refrigerate for about 240 minutes or until set.
  6. Serve chilled, topped with additional whipped cream or fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

Choose bright red and fragrant strawberries for the best flavor. Consider using coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
