Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons gelatin (optional, for extra firmness)
- 2 tablespoons cold water (if using gelatin)
Instructions
- Puree the strawberries with the granulated sugar in a blender until smooth.
- If using gelatin, dissolve it in cold water and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, heat it gently until dissolved and mix it into the strawberry puree.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the strawberry puree into the whipped cream using a spatula until well combined.
- Spoon the mixture into serving dishes and refrigerate for about 240 minutes or until set.
- Serve chilled, topped with additional whipped cream or fresh strawberries if desired.
Notes
Choose bright red and fragrant strawberries for the best flavor. Consider using coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
