Description

A delightful dessert that combines a moist vanilla cake with creamy layers of cheesecake and fresh strawberries, perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup strawberry puree
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix package directions. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake according to package instructions. Allow cooling completely once baked.
  4. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping and strawberry puree.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled cake, filling the holes.
  7. Top with fresh strawberries and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs.
  8. Chill the cake before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is well-softened before mixing. Don’t skip the chilling step for better flavor melding.
