Ingredients
- ½ cup fresh strawberries, chopped small (80g)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (113g)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour (157g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and kosher salt until creamy.
- Add the large egg and vanilla extract, whisking until evenly blended.
- Gently mix in the all-purpose flour, leaving some large streaks of flour.
- Fold in the prepared strawberries until distributed.
- Drop the thick batter into the lined baking pan and smooth into an even layer.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, checking for doneness with a tester that should come out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the blondies to cool in the pan before lifting them out and cutting into squares.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg into the batter. Allowing the blondies to cool before slicing helps maintain their shape.
