Description

Delightful meatballs with a sticky Mongolian sauce, perfectly blending savory and sweet flavors, served with vibrant broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, and minced garlic. Mix well and form into meatballs.
  3. Place meatballs and broccoli florets on a baking sheet.
  4. In another bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch to create the sauce.
  5. Drizzle the sauce over the meatballs and broccoli.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until meatballs are cooked through and broccoli is tender.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

For deeper flavor absorption, let the cooked meatballs sit in the sauce for a few minutes after baking. Adjust the cooking times based on your oven’s performance.
