Description

Seasoned steak atop a bed of fluffy rice with a drizzle of cheesy queso creates a comforting dish that ignites the senses.

Ingredients

  • 450g (1 lb) flank or sirloin steak
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup cheese queso
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with paprika, salt, pepper, and cumin.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.
  4. Remove steak from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
  5. In the same skillet, add queso and stir until melted.
  6. Serve the sliced steak over cooked rice and drizzle with cheesy queso. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.

Notes

Allow the steak to rest after cooking to keep it tender and juicy. Serve with fresh salsa or avocado for added flavor.
