Description

Delicious steak crostini made with perfectly grilled steak, toasted baguette, and balsamic glaze that elevates any gathering.

Ingredients

  • Baguette or Italian bread
  • Sirloin or ribeye steak
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic cloves
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives)
  • Balsamic glaze or reduction
  • Cheese (optional, like blue cheese or Parmesan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Grill or sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  3. While the steak cooks, slice the baguette into about 1/2-inch thick slices. Brush with olive oil and toast in the oven or on the grill until golden brown.
  4. Rub the toasted bread with garlic for extra flavor.
  5. Thinly slice the rested steak and place it on top of the toasted bread.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with fresh herbs and cheese if desired.
  7. Serve immediately as an appetizer.

Notes

Let the steak rest to ensure juicy slices. Experiment with different toppings and herbs for variety.
