Description

A simple and delicious naan made from sourdough discard, perfect for dipping or wrapping.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sourdough discard, flour, salt, yogurt, and olive oil.
  2. Mix until a dough forms; add water as needed if the dough feels too dry.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about a minute until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls; roll each ball out into circles of your desired thickness.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook each naan for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with dips or utilize as wraps.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush cooked naan with melted butter or olive oil. Experiment with adding herbs or spices for a unique twist.
