A simple and delicious naan made from sourdough discard, perfect for dipping or wrapping.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- Water as needed
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the sourdough discard, flour, salt, yogurt, and olive oil.
- Mix until a dough forms; add water as needed if the dough feels too dry.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about a minute until smooth.
- Divide the dough into small balls; roll each ball out into circles of your desired thickness.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook each naan for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Serve warm with dips or utilize as wraps.
Notes
For extra flavor, brush cooked naan with melted butter or olive oil. Experiment with adding herbs or spices for a unique twist.
