Description

A nostalgic bundt cake with rich flavors of cinnamon, sugar, and pecans, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add sour cream and mix well.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl; gradually mix into the creamed mixture.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the chopped pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared bundt cake pan.
  8. Sprinkle the pecan mixture over the batter, then cover with the remaining batter.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a plate.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Pairs well with coffee or vanilla ice cream.
