Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 suggested)
- 2 medium onions, sliced thin
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil.
- Form ground beef into patties, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Place patties in the hot skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Remove patties from the skillet and keep warm.
- In the same pan, add sliced onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
- Stir in the beef broth and cream of mushroom soup until well combined.
- Return the patties to the skillet, covering them with the onion mixture.
- Simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
