Description

Delicious slow cooker meatball sandwiches filled with succulent meatballs in rich spaghetti sauce, topped with melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 (26-ounce) package of frozen meatballs
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 1½ teaspoons of red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 10 hoagie buns
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen meatballs into the slow cooker.
  2. Pour in the spaghetti sauce and sprinkle with red pepper flakes to your liking.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. After cooking, cut the hoagie buns in half.
  5. Fill each bun with meatballs from the slow cooker.
  6. Top each sandwich generously with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Place filled buns on a baking sheet and broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed peppers or onions before broiling. If the spaghetti sauce lacks depth, add garlic powder or Italian seasoning.
