Description

Tender, juicy country style ribs slow-cooked in a rich, tangy BBQ sauce for a comforting meal that creates lasting memories.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. country style ribs (butt/shoulder ribs, not loin; boneless or bone-in)
  • 1 ½ c BBQ sauce
  • 2 tsp ground mustard
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ¼½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust according to heat preference)
  • 23 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp cracked pepper
  • ½ tsp sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Place the country style ribs in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the ground mustard, cayenne pepper, paprika, sea salt, cracked pepper, and minced garlic.
  3. Toss the ribs to evenly coat with the seasoning, pressing it gently into the meat.
  4. Pour the BBQ sauce over the ribs to cover them entirely.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the meat is tender and falls apart easily.
  6. Transfer the ribs to a serving dish and drizzle with additional BBQ sauce from the slow cooker.
  7. For a crispier texture, broil for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is bubbling.
  8. Allow the ribs to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider pre-searing the ribs before slow cooking or broiling them at the end for a crispy crust.
