Description
Tender, juicy country style ribs slow-cooked in a rich, tangy BBQ sauce for a comforting meal that creates lasting memories.
Ingredients
- 3 lb. country style ribs (butt/shoulder ribs, not loin; boneless or bone-in)
- 1 ½ c BBQ sauce
- 2 tsp ground mustard
- 2 tsp paprika
- ¼ – ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust according to heat preference)
- 2 – 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ tsp cracked pepper
- ½ tsp sea salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Place the country style ribs in the slow cooker.
- Add the ground mustard, cayenne pepper, paprika, sea salt, cracked pepper, and minced garlic.
- Toss the ribs to evenly coat with the seasoning, pressing it gently into the meat.
- Pour the BBQ sauce over the ribs to cover them entirely.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the meat is tender and falls apart easily.
- Transfer the ribs to a serving dish and drizzle with additional BBQ sauce from the slow cooker.
- For a crispier texture, broil for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is bubbling.
- Allow the ribs to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For additional flavor, consider pre-searing the ribs before slow cooking or broiling them at the end for a crispy crust.
