Description

Delicious chocolate cookies with gooey caramel and a hint of sea salt, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel candy, chopped
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped caramel.
  6. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set.
  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sea salt while still warm.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. Consider swapping regular chocolate chips for dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
