Description

Savory Salisbury steak meatballs simmered in a rich beef broth, perfect for a cozy family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • Mashed potatoes for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form mixture into meatballs.
  2. In a skillet, brown the meatballs on all sides.
  3. In a crockpot, add beef broth and mushrooms, then place browned meatballs on top. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. If a thicker gravy is desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the sauce while cooking until thickened.
  5. Serve meatballs over mashed potatoes and enjoy your meal!

Notes

For added flavor, customize the Worcestershire sauce with garlic powder or fresh herbs. Adjust cornstarch for desired sauce thickness.
