Description
A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring roasted jalapenos for a spicy kick and gooey cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread (your choice: white, whole grain, or sourdough)
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
- 2-3 roasted jalapenos (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread softened cream cheese on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer cheese and roasted jalapenos on the cream cheese side.
- Place the other slice of bread on top with the cream cheese facing in.
- Butter the outside of the sandwich.
- Cook the sandwich in the hot skillet until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Slice and serve hot.
Notes
Consider adding spices like paprika or garlic powder to the cream cheese for enhanced flavor.
