A quick and flavorful side dish of roasted frozen broccoli that brings out its natural sweetness and crunch.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces frozen broccoli
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ medium lemon (juiced)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Take the frozen broccoli, separate any clumps, and place them in a large bowl.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the broccoli and sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder.
- Toss everything together until the broccoli is well-coated.
- Spread the seasoned broccoli evenly on the baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, turning the broccoli pieces halfway through the roasting time.
- Once done, squeeze fresh lemon juice and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the broccoli.
- Roast for an additional 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

For a twist, try adding red pepper flakes for heat or using different cheeses like mozzarella.
