Description

A quick and flavorful side dish of roasted frozen broccoli that brings out its natural sweetness and crunch.


Ingredients

  • 16 ounces frozen broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ medium lemon (juiced)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  3. Take the frozen broccoli, separate any clumps, and place them in a large bowl.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the broccoli and sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder.
  5. Toss everything together until the broccoli is well-coated.
  6. Spread the seasoned broccoli evenly on the baking sheet.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, turning the broccoli pieces halfway through the roasting time.
  8. Once done, squeeze fresh lemon juice and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the broccoli.
  9. Roast for an additional 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper if desired.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, try adding red pepper flakes for heat or using different cheeses like mozzarella.
