Ingredients
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil
- 1 large red bell pepper
- 1 large carrot
- 1/2 bunch of green onions
- 1 lb (454 g) boneless chicken
- 1/2 small cabbage head
- 1/2 large yellow onion
- 16 oz (454 g) yakisoba noodles
- 2 tsp (10 ml) sugar
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) soy sauce
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetarian oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) tomato ketchup
- 4 tbsp (60 ml) vegetarian Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Mix together the ingredients for the sauce and set them aside.
- Chop all the vegetables to your preferred size for the dish. If the noodles need preheating, follow the package directions.
- In a hot pan, cook each type of vegetable separately for a few minutes to achieve a lightly browned appearance.
- In a skillet with oil, cook the chicken until it is browned on all sides.
- Combine the cooked vegetables and the sauce in the pan with the chicken.
- Add the noodles to the pan and stir everything together, cooking briefly before serving.
Notes
- Marinate chicken in a soy sauce and sugar mixture for added flavor.
- Stir-fry noodles separately for better texture before combining with vegetables and chicken.
