A delicious and quick chow mein dish, featuring savory soy sauce and fresh vegetables that bring flavors to life.
Ingredients
- 8 oz chow mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, snap peas, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Add the cooked chow mein noodles and soy sauce to the skillet. Toss everything together to combine and heat through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different vegetables or proteins like tofu or chicken. For added flavor, include chili flakes or sriracha.
