Ingredients
- 1 package spice cake mix (approx. 432g)
- 1-425g can pumpkin
- 120ml (1/2 cup) water
- 1 egg
- 1 tub of cream cheese frosting (use about 3/4 of the tub)
- 1 package vanilla almond bark (approx. 680g)
Instructions
- Combine the initial four ingredients in a bowl.
- Transfer the mixture into a 9×13 baking dish and cook following the instructions on the cake mix package.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Break the cooled cake into crumbs and transfer them to a large bowl.
- Incorporate the cream cheese frosting into the crumbled cake and mix thoroughly. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for no less than an hour.
- Use a small cookie scoop or melon baller to portion out the cake mixture.
- Shape the portions into small spheres. Return them to the refrigerator to maintain their cool temperature.
- Follow the package instructions to melt the almond bark. Take a few cake balls out of the fridge at a time and cover them with the melted bark.
- Place the coated cake balls on wax paper to set and embellish them as you prefer.

- Allow the cake to cool completely before crumbling for the right cake ball texture.
- Use a cookie scoop or melon baller for evenly sized cake mixture portions.
