Description

A comforting and hearty soup inspired by traditional Philly cheese steak flavors, perfect for sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin and cook until browned.
  3. Remove the beef and set aside.
  4. In the same pot, add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic; sauté until tender.
  5. Return the beef to the pot and add the beef broth, bringing to a gentle simmer.
  6. Cook for about 15 minutes to meld the flavors.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and shredded provolone cheese, allowing the cheese to melt and the soup to heat through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

For added richness, consider drizzling olive oil or garnishing with sour cream before serving. Serve in rustic bread bowls for a delightful experience.
