Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs, and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. Experiment with different types of chocolate chips or mix-ins like nuts for unique flavors.
