Description
A delightful and colorful dish combining tender beef sirloin and crunchy bell peppers, stir-fried to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips
- 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Add sliced bell peppers and stir-fry until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce over. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well-coated and heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
Slice the beef against the grain for tenderness. Don’t overcrowd the pan when cooking the beef.
