A vibrant and flavorful pepper steak stir fry featuring flank steak and bell peppers, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly
- 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the flank steak and cook until browned.
- Remove the steak and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic, ginger, and onion, and sauté until fragrant.
- Add bell peppers and cook until they’re tender but still crisp.
- Return the steak to the skillet and add soy sauce.
- Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, consider adding a cornstarch slurry. Fresh ingredients enhance flavor significantly.
