Description

A vibrant and flavorful pepper steak stir fry featuring flank steak and bell peppers, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the flank steak and cook until browned.
  3. Remove the steak and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic, ginger, and onion, and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add bell peppers and cook until they’re tender but still crisp.
  6. Return the steak to the skillet and add soy sauce.
  7. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
  9. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, consider adding a cornstarch slurry. Fresh ingredients enhance flavor significantly.
