Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon peach extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Peach food coloring (to achieve desired shade)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the milk, vanilla extract, and peach extract until combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Evenly distribute the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. While the cupcakes cool, whip the softened butter for the frosting until creamy.
  10. Gradually add powdered sugar, followed by heavy cream and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  11. Add food coloring until your desired peachy pink hue is reached.
  12. Once the cupcakes have cooled, frost them with the peach frosting.
