A delicious twist on classic lasagna, layered with ground beef, crumbled bacon, and a mix of cheeses, bringing the flavors of a cheeseburger into a comforting dish.
Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add cooked bacon, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture; stir well.
- In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce, then a layer of noodles, followed by a layer of the beef mixture, and a layer of the cheese mixture.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of noodles topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
Make sure to allow the lasagna to rest after baking to help it slice more easily.
