Description

A delicious twist on classic lasagna, layered with ground beef, crumbled bacon, and a mix of cheeses, bringing the flavors of a cheeseburger into a comforting dish.

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add cooked bacon, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture; stir well.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce, then a layer of noodles, followed by a layer of the beef mixture, and a layer of the cheese mixture.
  7. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of noodles topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Make sure to allow the lasagna to rest after baking to help it slice more easily.
