Description

A beautifully seared ribeye steak infused with garlic butter, perfect for a special occasion or a delightful meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Allow the steaks to come to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  3. Place the steaks in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving them until browned.
  4. Flip the steaks and add butter, garlic, and herbs to the skillet.
  5. Baste the steaks with the melted butter as they cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare.
  6. Remove steaks from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with the garlic butter sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For the best results, use a meat thermometer to check for internal temperature. Aim for 130°F for medium-rare.
