Description

A simple yet delicious recipe for perfectly pan-seared ribeye steak, seasoned with salt and pepper and finished with garlic butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 Ribeye steak
  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the garlic butter to the hot skillet and let it melt.
  5. Carefully place the ribeye in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms.
  6. Flip the steak and add more garlic butter if desired. Cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness.
  7. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve with fresh herbs as garnish if desired.

Notes

Let the steak rest after cooking to retain juices, and slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.
