Description

A simple and delicious recipe for oven-roasted broccoli that brings out the vegetable’s natural sweetness, enhanced with garlic, lemon, and Parmesan.


Ingredients

  • pounds fresh broccoli, trimmed and cut into florets
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest from ½ lemon, divided
  • ⅛ teaspoon crushed red pepper or to taste
  • Kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese or to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Toss the broccoli florets with the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice and zest, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper until well-coated.
  3. Spread the broccoli on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until charred and fork-tender.
  5. Once the broccoli is out of the oven, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes
