Description

A comforting and savory dish combining tender beef, aromatic onions, and perfectly cooked rice, enhanced with umami flavors from soy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 pound beef (sliced thin)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Push the beef and onion mixture to one side of the pan and crack the eggs into the empty space, scrambling them until cooked.
  5. Add the cooked rice to the pan, mixing everything together.
  6. Pour the soy sauce over the rice and stir well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Using day-old rice improves texture. Feel free to customize with additional vegetables or proteins.
