Description

A comforting and simple dish that brings together creamy cheese sauce and tender pasta, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (or your preferred pasta shape)
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Once melted, add 2 cups of elbow macaroni to the pot.
  3. Pour in 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth, stirring occasionally.
  4. Bring to a gentle boil and cook for about 8-10 minutes until the pasta is tender.
  5. Lower the heat, then stir in 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
