A simple and quick recipe for homemade rosemary focaccia bread, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
- Add warm water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil and mix until a dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Grease a baking sheet with the remaining olive oil.
- Once the dough has risen, spread it onto the baking sheet with your fingers, creating dimples across the surface.
- Sprinkle with fresh rosemary and flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
For an extra crispy crust, add more olive oil to the baking sheet before spreading the dough.
