Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
- Line a cupcake pan with liners and fill each liner about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.

For best results, allow cupcakes to cool completely before applying frosting to avoid melting.
