A delightful treat that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with rich Nutella, creating a moist and indulgent banana bread perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 4-5 medium bananas)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ cup Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, stir together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is homogeneous.
- Gently fold in the flour, salt, and baking soda until no flour streaks remain, ensuring the batter is thick.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Microwave the Nutella for 20-25 seconds to make it easier to spread, then dollop half of the melted Nutella evenly across the batter. Use a knife to swirl the Nutella into the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter into the pan, dollop the remaining Nutella on top, and swirl again.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with only moist crumbs.
- Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter or incorporating nuts or chocolate chips.
