Description

A delightful dish featuring tender slices of flank steak in a savory and sweet sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced flank steak and cook until browned.
  4. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef and simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Stir in the chopped green onions.
  6. Serve the Mongolian beef over a bed of cooked rice.

Notes

Cut the flank steak against the grain for maximum tenderness. Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for a nutritious twist.
