Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Lettuce
- Tomato, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet, cooking until softened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the shredded cheese and let it melt into the mixture.
- Slice the hoagie rolls and fill them with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Top with jalapeños, avocado, lettuce, and tomato.
- Drizzle with hot sauce if desired and serve warm.
Notes
For a crunchier sandwich, use slightly toasted hoagie rolls.
