Description
A succulent recipe for tender chicken breasts coated in a creamy mayonnaise and Parmesan topping, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup mayonnaise (or plain Greek yogurt)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: ½ teaspoon paprika or Italian seasoning for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about ¾ inch for consistent cooking.
- Mix together the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Spread this creamy mixture evenly over the surface of each chicken breast, making sure to cover them entirely.
- Arrange the chicken in your baking dish. If you like, sprinkle optional paprika or Italian seasoning on top for an extra flavor boost.
- Bake uncovered for 35–45 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and develops a golden, appetizing top.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to ensure maximum juiciness.
Notes
For a crunchier topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan on the chicken before baking.
