Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 pita pockets
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cucumber, diced
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add ground beef, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper; cook until beef is browned.
- Warm pita pockets in the oven or microwave.
- Fill each pita pocket with the beef mixture, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and feta cheese.
- Drizzle with tzatziki sauce before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes to the beef mixture. Fresh herbs like parsley or mint can elevate the flavor.
