Description

A comforting burst of indulgence that combines pasta, ground beef, and crispy bacon in a creamy cheese sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add ground beef and cook until browned. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, and bring to a gentle simmer. Mix in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and bacon to the sauce, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream and reduced-fat cheeses.
