Description
A comforting burst of indulgence that combines pasta, ground beef, and crispy bacon in a creamy cheese sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add ground beef and cook until browned. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in heavy cream, and bring to a gentle simmer. Mix in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta and bacon to the sauce, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream and reduced-fat cheeses.
